Summer is now long gone, just a memory we can reflect on thanks to our Instagram photos. Now as we’re rolling into fall and the beautiful leaves are falling down all around, it’s time to remember as we pull out those soft, fluffy sweaters and scarves that we need to refresh our beauty routine for the upcoming holiday season.

With all the parties and events coming up, fall is the best time to show yourself a little extra love to ensure you look your most ‘beauti-fall’ this fall!

1. Pamper thyself
Those summer days spent by the lake or ocean, frolicking in the sun were draining for your hair and skin. Even if you wore protection, you’ll want to give your hair and skin the celebrity treatment. Make a date with yourself to use a gentle exfoliating scrub followed by a mud mask. And treat your hair to a luxurious hot oil treatment. Don’t forget to take care of those feet too even though it’s time for boots instead of sandals.

2. Change your moisturizer
Summer moisturizers for face and body should be lightweight and oil-free. But as the temperatures shift to chilly and then cold, the air is much drier. You’ll need to compensate for that by applying a rich and luxurious cream to your skin. Avoid any products that leave your skin feeling dried out as you’ll just wind up looking dry and flaky.

3. Tone down the tone
Summer is all about bleachy blonde and brassy bronze, but in fall these things need to be dialed down. If you color your hair, seek something a little warmer. You don’t need to kiss those blonde locks goodbye, but consider using a slightly darker shade to help tone it down for the season and add some warmth. The same goes for your bronzer too. You don’t need to go porcelain white, but go less heavy so your skin has just a touch of glowing warmth.

4. Get on trend with your makeup
For the summer months, your makeup should be light and carefree with colors like peach or coral. But the cooler weather dictates deeper, darker shades. For fall 2017, the biggest trends are achieving an angelic glow to your skin, vampy-looking lipstick, bold brows, brown shadows, and geometric lines to line your eyes.

5. Know what’s inside counts
And finally, for one of the most important ways to always look your best in any season, especially fall, make sure you’re eating right. Specifically, make sure that you’re eating foods with plenty of antioxidants. Stay hydrated too. Your skin is your largest organ and it reflects your inward health. If you want to be the most ravishing woman in the room, start from the inside out to have skin that glows and hair that shines naturally.
